Foskor Richards Bay’s approach to sustainable development and socially and environmentally sound business practices is underpinned by the group’s stated commitment to safety, health, environmental conservation and world-class quality. The integrated Foskor SHEQ Policy is implemented at the Richards Bay facility via detailed Management Standards or Codes of Practice and Foskor Richards Bay has an established SHEQ Committee System with representation at all levels of the business.
In addition, a Risk Committee focuses on the value chain activities of the Foskor Richards Bay operation in relation to the overall Group Risk policy. A Quality Forum System is currently being implemented which will focus on addressing specific risks and the establishment of effective SHEQ programs to eliminate or minimise risks in our operations.
