Phosphoric Acid
- Product spec: 52% – 55%, typical 53% P2O5.
- Appearance: dark yellow to brown colour, depending on the P2O5 Concentration, viscous liquid.
- Hazards: Strongly corrosive (skin/eye/respiratory), reacts with metals to produce hydrogen; handle with acid-resistant materials and PPE.
- Packaging/transport: Stored in corrosion-resistant containers; UN 1805, typically Packing Group III.
- Storage precautions: Store in cool, well-ventilated area, away from potential sources of heat and Fire. Keep away from combustible materials, strong bases, and metals. Large storage tanks should be bunded and electrically grounded. Avoid using glass or unprotected steel containers.
