JOB/TENDER SCAMS USING FOSKOR (PTY) LTD NAME

FOSKOR DOES NOT REQUEST UPFRONT PAYMENT TO EMPLOY PERSONS OR TO AWARD CONTRACTS OR PLACE SUPPLIERS/CONTRACTORS ON ITS SUPPLIER/CONTRACTOR LISTS/DATABASE

It has come to our knowledge that various fraudulent tender or job advertisements appear on several platforms such as internet, Facebook and related social networks, and unsolicited calls using FOSKOR's name. These scams are aimed at soliciting money from unsuspecting contractors, suppliers and desperate jobseekers.

FOSKOR hereby warns members of the public not to participate in these unfortunate fraudulent scams that are advertised on tender/ recruitment/job websites or portals.

How to identify a Fraudulent Job/Tender Scam or potential Fraudulent Advertisement:

The perpetrators will ask you for some form of payment or upfront fee for administration purposes, interviews, uniform, medical test, access card, creation of vendor number, loading onto supplier database, awarding of contracts or tenders, etc. Foskor will never ask for CASH or any upfront payment from any person in exchange for employment or the awarding of contracts/tenders. Jobs and tenders are advertised on Foskor's website: www.foskor.co.za, local community newspapers and national papers.

The perpetrators frequently use mobile numbers instead of official company landline numbers. Foskor only uses landline numbers for job and procurement enquiries.

The enquiry email address provided by the scammers does not reflect Foskor's name or it is made to look like Foskor's email address. The correct Foskor email address ends with ...@foskor.co.za

Victims of the scam are usually guaranteed work before they even submit their CVs or being called for an interview or contracts/tenders before completing and submitting any tender documents.

What should you do if you are confronted with a possible job/tender scam?

Please contact the Foskor tip-offs anonymous hotline on 0800 367 567 or send an email to foskor@whistleblowing.co.za or report the incident to the nearest South African Police Services (SAPS). Perpetrators of the scams will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
