Foskor Leadership Development Programme

Foskor, in partnership with the University of Kwazulu Natal (UKZN), runs a Leadership Development Programme aimed at building a talent development culture aligned with Foskor’s philosophy, vision and values. that will keep us relevant for our business sustenance. Being a skills-based organisation, Foskor recognizes the importance of talent management. The development programme was designed for the Middle and Senior Management to improve their management leadership skills in the workplace.

The participants in the Leadership Development Programme were empowered with knowledge on the following topics:

An understanding of key theories and approaches of leadership and management, and the ability to apply them in specific case scenarios.

Knowledge of leadership roles and techniques, and the ability to incorporate them in personal, professional and community structures.

An ability to gather, evaluate and use information to make informed and well-reasoned decisions.

An understanding of communication theory, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, using an array of media and types of technology.

An understanding of ethical behaviour in leadership and management.

Foskor President and CEO, Julian Palliam, congratulated the participants during the latest graduation ceremony and he encouraged them by sharing the famous quote by Steve Job: “Stay hungry, stay foolish”.

VP: Human Capital & Corporate Affairs, Vincent Matlala, also congratulated the achievers with the following words: “Learning is an on-going process and congratulations on embracing that concept”.
